MAYA – Association for Motherhood, Adolescents and Young Adults (“MAYA” or “The Association”) respects your confidentiality and privacy. This Privacy Policy explains (i) what information is collected when you join the Association, if applicable, as well as when accessing and using our web pages accessible on www.maya-association.org (the “Platform”), (ii) the use we make of the information collected, and (iii) the level of security we provide for the protection of the latter.
By joining the Association or accessing and using the Platform, you expressly agree to this Privacy Policy. It can be changed at any time to adapt to any new business practice, technology or legislative change.
Data gathering
We collect data in connection with your membership as well as your access and use of the Platform. In particular, we may collect your personal data relating to your name, gender, date of birth, addresses, payment information, e-mail address, telephone numbers, language preference, or other information that can be used to identify you or contact you in the framework for the management of the Association, as well as the access and use of the Platform (“Personal Data”).

Use of collected data
We use the data transmitted for the purposes stated during their collection, in particular for the performance of our activities and our corporate purpose. In particular, we use this data in order to:
– the administrative management of the Association,
– the organization of events, meetings and workshops face-to-face or online,
– communication activities during campaigns for fundraising,
dissemination of targeted information on our activities, including subscription to our Newsletters.
Third party sites
The Platform may contain links or referrals to other third party websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to such other third party websites or the practices of other companies or individuals that MAYA does not control. You should inform yourself and review the privacy policies of the third-party websites you visit, which govern the collection and use of your Personal Data when you visit them. Within legal limits, MAYA cannot be held responsible for the privacy practices of such third party websites.
Communication to third parties
We do not communicate your Personal Data to third parties, with the exception of our partners and / or subcontractors, to the extent strictly necessary for the execution of the purposes for which the data is collected.
For example, when sending a newsletter, your email address may be sent to the company to which we subcontract the bulk mailings or the layout.
Transmission abroad
Your personal data is processed in Switzerland but may also be stored and used in other countries, it being specified that some of these locations may possibly include countries which do not necessarily guarantee the same level of protection of personal data as Switzerland. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
This Privacy Policy is subject to Swiss law.
Any claim, claim or dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the canton of Geneva, Switzerland, subject to recourse to the Federal Court.
